Recently (this past weekend) my good friend here in NC had her baby shower! She decided early on with her husband that they were not going to find out the sex of the baby and it is torture for me! She also expressed her desire for a diaper cake, and although I have never attempted such a thing I decided that I could do it... so this is my final product...
Inside as the base is a package of wipes and some butt paste :) It definitely help keep the cake straight. The diapers are all rolled and held together with clear plastic bands... and the ribbons are pinned on as well as the mittens. Below are just two close ups... it was definitely a rough first diaper cake, but I'm proud of it, it was fun and I know that Jess (my friend) appreciated it and was excited about it and that is what mattered to me!
Below is the group from the shower, obviously I'm in coral and Jess is two over from me in the black dress and crosage :) she is a beautiful pregnant woman and truly glows! I love her dearly!

Awe how fun!! You did great!! I have to make a diaper cake for a shower that is coming up in a few days ... I hope mine turns out as good as yours did!! :)
