4th of July 2011

Independence Day is commonly celebrated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, politicians speaking and other festivities and a lot of the time people forget why July 4th is so important. It is to commemorate the independence that we gained as a nation in 1776 from Great Britain. It is a day to remember all those that have served and continue to serve in order for us to remain free and independent. It is something that I have learned more about being a military wife and have gained a greater appreciation for every soldier and family of a soldier out there. However, we too celebrated with cute red, white and blue outfits, games, friends, BBQ and fireworks... below was how we celebrated our indepedence...
Great food and lots of food!

Good friends that are irreplaceable!
BBQ and enjoying the beautiful weather outdoors
BOOMS followed by "ooooo's and awwww's"
Men channeling their inner "boys" and "pyro" antics while lighting off fireworks
And teaching our children about hosing down fireworks for safety and cleaning them up so our earth stays clean...
Finally more games into the wee hours of the night...
Happy Birthday America... thank you every man and woman that has served, continues to serve and whom will serve in the future. Special shout out to my modern day hero, best friend, and husband... I love you and I'm so proud to be your wife.
