Pennies and Shades

So we have had a baseball piggy bank for the kids since before they were born that we would put our spare change in, well Ryan found if a few months back and was so excited that it was a "new" ball to play with and before we could react it was being launched threw the air and landed not so graceful on the hard wood floor and well we have been piggy bank less since then, that is until two days ago. We found the piggy bank below at Target and the kids wanted it, so we gave in and when we got home we made them get ready for bed, pick up their toys, and then they were able to gather all their change and put it in the new piggy bank, it was so cute and fun to watch them. After that night and after our garage sale it's about half full and that's really exciting! Something fun will be in their possession here in a few more months I'm guessing!

Next, we love Halloween in this house... not only is it the birthday of one of my favorite women on earth, aka my grandma Iverson, but it's a chance for us all to be kids again. As soon as September hit the mood to decorate hit, but I have put it off until this past weekend. We did our first Halloween store trip and found a wall of sunglasses... the kids love glasses and instantly started reaching for them, so I let them pick out a few and try them on and snapped just a few pictures on my iPhone... they are below for your enjoyment...

This year I think that we are going to dress up the kiddos as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, they are both obsessed with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and get excited everytime they see "mouse" :) Also we are already decided on a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme for their 2nd Birthday, so that would enable us to use their outfits a second time on their 2nd Birthday and for some cute 2 years old shots of them! I think they will be the cutest little mice in town!
