We started out with some homemade strawberry popsicles in our underwear on our front porch... Well momma was fully clothed :) I do want to stay in our neighborhood and not scare anyone off! This was a messy adventure, but it was so fun. There were plenty of people out and about walking and the kids had to say "hello" to everyone walking by and even offered a popsicle to a few of them! So sweet and thoughtful.
This was actually before the weekend, but it's a fun day in the puddles after Hurricane Irene, which was pretty much a joke in our area! The kids loved it though and we all loved the aftermath. Especially Carl who took his motorcycle out for a ride promptly following the storm.
P90X! Alan and I decided since Carl does PT we needed to get our butts in gear and we have started P90X, sure we miss a day here and there, but at least we are doing something to better ourselves and feel better. This was obviously after an hour work out and we were both pretty sweaty and nasty... had to share though!
We wrestle around a lot in this house and Randi is FINALLY getting the idea of getting Ryan back after he attacks her :) She is a pretty strong cookie as long as she is on top, if Ryan stops laughing and gets serious though, she's pretty much done for :)
We washed, waxed and buffed my Flex as well as shined the rims... the kids LOVE washing the cars and are such wonderful helpers, they make sure they don't miss a spot, including spots which have already been washed once, or twice, or five times! (Don't you love their swimsuit and rain boot combination?)
And a cute picture of Miss Randi, she's a diva and has to dry off after playing in the water :) Such a little model.
We also went shopping at the outlet malls and I found some good finds! I'm most excited about my new wreath makings that I picked up for about $26 total! And I had a $20 gift card, so for $6 I'm making a brand new fall wreath and am very excited about it! I also got some great ideas for winter shoes for the kids...
Finally... we started potty training with Ryan! He did amazing! 4 days of training and only 2 pee accidents and 1 poo in the underwear... the other times he poo'd in his pull up at nap time. I am so proud and so is daddy and Randi! It's pretty cute, Randi takes his hand and tells him "let's go potty" then they take turns and cheer for each other, it's hard not to be proud and happy when they are so sweet to each other! Those moments make all of the fighting moments worth wild...
It was a great weekend where we got to spend a lot of family time together and even Alan got to hang out with us! It was awesome, I'm excited for the next 4 day weekend when it's even a bit cooler so that we can go camping! What did all of you do?
