Carl's big day has came and went for this year, he was spoiled for the whole weekend, not just on his birthday. It started the night before when the kids were insistent on him opening his presents.... momma gave in and let him open 1 of them... Too bad it kind of gave away the best gift! Carl I think loves the fact that he has children, it means less work getting into the gifts, because the kiddos rip them open before he has a chance to think about it :) Makes for a large mess though!
The next morning we made daddy breakfast in bed for his real birthday. We made omelette's with toast and fresh salsa... he enjoyed it :)
Then daddy got to open his other gifts... a new home surround sound system...
and some sweet Adidas sunglasses...
We went to a classic car show later on to celebrate and also found a few local booths that had fresh salsa, spices, rubs, and crafts. It was fun to see all the cars and it was amazing to see all the local shops and products. We definitely invested in a few kinds of salsa!
Yep.... 27 will be a great year... he is SO old he thinks, but the fact is that I will be shortly behind him and we can both be old together. We got an oreo ice cream cake this year because momma was too busy and lazy to get a real homemade one made. It still tasted good :)
The kids helped daddy blow out his birthday candles and even help sing him happy birthday! I hope it was a great day for our favorite guy... Carl we love you and I can't wait to spend many more birthdays with you. WE LOVE YOU!!!
