Christmas

Christmas was awesome... it could have only been better if we had our husband, father, and friend home with us. We were all spoiled by all those around us and were surrounded by many other loved ones. We are blessed enough to have a huge family and were able to spend time with all on Jess's side and unfortunately were not able to travel to see the Blackwood's side, but we did get to speak with them and we sent hugs, loves and gifts to let each other know we were thinking of each other. Carl received many packages of homemade goods, fun toys, new socks and essential items. He was spoiled with goodies and movies and says Thank you to all of those who remembered him this year. I also say thank you. He deserves to be remembered and thanked for his service. I am so proud to be his wife.
I was able to read a few stories to the twins and where I know they don't understand the true meaning of Christmas, we still talked about it and read a book of Christ's birth early in the morning. When Addi showed up she also told us that we got presents because it was Jesus' birthday and he likes to share. She is such a smart girl! I hope that in the future our kids can remember why we celebrate Christmas and not get caught up in all of the tinsel and glamor of the worldly side of it. Anyways, enjoy the few pictures here of Christmas at my mom and Russ's house...

Christmas morning! Love my two little bugs! We miss daddy, but can't wait for Christmas morning with him in 2010 in our own home! We love you daddy!

Randi is such a little camera diva... she loves it! She was more interested in the bows and everyone else's toys than her own, but she did enjoy them once they were opened for her. This little girl lights up my life.
I think Ryan enjoyed opening presents and especially his new blanket... doesn't that smile just remind you of the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of the Savior in our lives?

Mom really loved her gold iphone case that Russ bought her! She didn't want to get the iphone because she loved her gold razor... now I think she is fully hooked!

Uncle Alan with the twins... they love their Uncle, he pushes them around and dances with them on a regular basis :)

Miss Randi just being cute as a button

Addilynn loving her Mulan horse, isn't she just beautiful!

Grandma opening her gift from Carl, the twins, and I... she loved her nativity...

Some of the group at dinner :) Good looking group huh!?

And Doug had the right idea after lunch... a well deserved nap after a day of presents, snacks, sparkling cider, and family!
