and in our new home in North Carolina.... isn't it beautiful!? We have a lot to do here, but it is coming along! It feels so good to have a place to finally call "Home" We feel very blessed and cannot wait to continue our lives here in this beautiful house. We have a spare room and plenty of space if anyone wants a few days closer to the Atlantic coastline!
Carl came home on leave just in time to move us back to NC... it was great to be a normal husband and wife! The joy I got when I first saw him was beyond indescribable. To try and get it across though, for all those never married it's the feeling you have when you have graduated from high school and that burden of working and working overtime on homework is finally gone... for those that have been married, it's the gasping sensation when you first lock eyes with your future spouse while walking/waiting down the aisle... for those with kids, it's the same breathtaking moment as the first time you hear that precious child's cry... it's amazing and it's something that can only be understood once you've been through it.

The twins and I actually left Washington the beginning of March (the 4th to be exact) and flew to Richfield, Minnesota to spend some needed time with Carl's family there. It was great to see the family and to see them interact with the twinkies. They were spoiled with more Nilla wafers and bananas than I knew was humanly possible to consume at 23-25lbs! We did family dinners and shopping trips, visited friends, picked up Carl... it was fabulous! Carl and I even got a couple date nights, which I believe was well deserved and awaited! We left MN on the 15th and got to NC...
From here on out it was unpacking, lifting, moving, re-packing, re-arranging, shopping, stocking, laundry, chaos...
We were able to take many breaks from moving in to play and go out for some yummy food! Like visiting our favorite restaurant in town Miyabi's... mmmm... it's a Japanese Hibachi Steak House, to die for! Even Randi and Ryan enjoyed themselves (probably as much as the other people there enjoyed them and their loud happy babbling sounds!)

Just a handsome picture of my husband, better half, best friend, and hero...

The twins warmed up to Carl quickly considering their normal "grace" period with new people and by the third day here in NC I think they liked him more than me! By the time we came to "see you later" (we don't say "goodbye") there were many tears shed and two very confused little kids as to why they couldn't find "dadda" all night... breaks my heart over and over again, even just by typing it I get teary eyed... we sure do love him. What an amazing journey to our new home! Many Many photos to upload!
