Wow... I have been more than slacking... which just shows how crazy busy and stressful life has been for us. Carl left in March for DC to start his new job, it was exciting, but it has been a lot of work and stress on the whole family. The month of March Carl would commute 10 hours on the weekend for 2 days with us, the weekdays I worked full time and was a single parent so those 2 days of help was a huge relief on me! We did get to play a lot on the weekends, here are just a few things that we did through the month of March...
We took the kids bowling for the first time... it was a complete blast! The kids loved it and even though we made it through 1 game in an hour and Carl and I only threw about a dozen balls total, it was so fun! The kids loved picking out their own ball and where Randi liked the help from mommy or daddy, but Ryan was independent and didn't want us to touch his ball... which was fine... it was cute, but we had to hit the "reset" button multiple times because of his stubborn nature
I love bowling shoes... not sure why because frankly they are nasty and stinky and awful colors, but I always have a good time in them and Randi's look pretty cute on her feet!
We went out to eat at our favorite restaurant here in Fayetteville, which is Miyabi's... oh it was so good and even the kids eat it! We are lucky to have Randi who tries and likes just about everything and fortunate that Ryan at least likes chicken and rice :) Momma got some delicious sushi with the best wasabi ever tasted as well as a vegetarian entre which was enough to feed me for 4 meals!
We had movie nights... and sleep overs...
We had picnics
and park trips
And here is just a picture for the kiddos new favorite past time... silly faces... goodness they make me laugh
Finally at the end of March I ended my job here in Fayetteville... I have been working at an amazing Dr's office (http://www.drciampa.com/) my Dr has taught me so much and has made me confident in the world of eyes. Even though I put in a few hours here and there after my official last day and I continue to check in to see how my replacement is hanging in there, but I am grateful for my time there and excited for my new position that I have locked down in VA. It was a bittersweet day to be done and I can't say I'm not nervous to start somewhere new, but with what I've learned I'm sure I can become an asset in my new office as I had become in this office. I made amazing friends and I now I'll stay in touch. Not to mention I think I'll continue to come back to Dr Ciampa for some time for my own eye exams.
Well April and Easter is up next... !
