Well NC has definitely started showing it's humid days and I'm loving it and from the pictures below the kids are pretty fond of it as well! More heat and humidity means more time in the water, which they love! We got the kids a 5 foot pool that only fills up about 6 inches, but that's all they really need to have fun and they definitely have fun climbing in and out and in and out... getting it so dirty that momma has to clean it and refill it about every time we use it... but momma is loving it anyways. It's nice to have children that enjoy summer and the water as much as these two do!
This day was just a day of cuteness all the way around. We were going to go shopping for some groceries and then go to the park and they were just happy and energetic babies all day. I think the two photos below grab both of their personalities so perfectly. Ryan is definitely more like momma... he likes to be social, laugh, talk, and do new things, but he is like daddy in that he loves anything dealing with a baseball, basketball, football, or any other sport, he is also built just like daddy. Here he is actually yelling "touch down" I think he is definitely a football player in the making! And Miss Randi, her demeanor is so much like daddy's, kind of quiet until comfortable in a situation then talkative and happy, but she definitely is all girl. She loves to get all dolled up and dance and spin around and smile and cheese at everyone. They are so much fun!
Two more photos... I know I am short on stories right now, but I just needed to update a couple pictures and say that I love my babies, they are amazing and they are the reason I survive everyday that Carl is not with us. They make me crazy most days at one point or another, but they also make me smile and laugh every day. I love them so much and their personalities are coming through more and more and their differences are arising and not a day goes by that they are not learning something new. Their vocabulary is growing as well as their testing capabilities and they definitely like to push mommy to her limit!
Finally, my favorite day so far in this new home since Carl left us... our sprinkler day... I finally bought a sprinkler and have put it to use, I decided I needed to water the lawn and well I set the sprinkler and next thing I knew Ryan was running for the water, well my first reaction was NO RYAN! Then I thought, "it's hot, what the heck!" I ran and grabbed their water shoes and let them go... they were bending over trying to drink from the sprinkler, they were running in and out and to and from the faucet drinking from the dripping faucet/hose connection. They had so much fun, and momma even got involved, but didn't get nearly as drenched. They had so much fun. I got plenty of pictures and videos. This reminded me so much of growing up in the country and just having fun with my siblings. I hope that we can continue to run through the sprinklers all summer and that they continue to love it. They were soaked and a muddy mess at the end of the adventure, so mommy took the hose and hosed them down, stripped them, and let them run from the door of the house straight to the tub to wash the rest of the dirt off :) It was fun, I always said I'd never hose down my children with cold water, but well 16 months into being a mom and they have had their first hosing and I'm sure it won't be the last of the summer!
Life is good and it will only be better next month when Carl finally comes home and joins us. We are holding up well and although there are times that are overwhelming for mommy she will make it. Thank you for all your support and love for us. Our deployment journeys are almost over and we love you!
